Mixed Media Workshops with Hannah Burnworth

March 9 Sat or March 10 Sun

10 am - 2 pm  Cost including materials $75 - Max of 12 participants per day

Come and have a great time creating a grouping of small mixed media works. Begin by making a variety of small, colorful prints using a Gelli print plate. Choose the ones you like and draw or collage on top using basic plant forms and motifs for inspiration. If you would like to use a sewing machine stitch through your pieces as a finishing touch, that is an option too. Templates and specific step-by-step ideas will be available for beginners, but throw all instruction aside and just play if you would like. There is something for everyone to learn.  All materials will be provided including a shadow box frame for your favorite piece!

Hannah Burnworth is the artist behind Milk House Studio.  Burnworth has degrees in both art education and studio art.  She has been teaching art in both public school and through private workshops for the last 12 years.  In addition to teaching, Burnworth loves to create all things paper.  Her collage, paintings and paper sculpture celebrate creativity and design, bringing together a love for texture, color, nature and the beauty of everyday life.  Burnworth resides in Indiana, where she has shown her work both regionally and nationally.  Her most recent solo shows were housed at Manchester University and Wunderkammer.  She was most recently published in the Stampington Press Publication Sew Somerset, the contemporary collage publication Making the Cut, Vol 1, and the September/October Issue of Cloth Paper Scissors.
